3rd full length CD for this Polish duo, though more of a collaborative remix CD than a proper long player. Eidulon - Combustioni CD (Malignant: TumorCD111)
Following an 11 year absence since his debut, Idolatriae, Eidulon returns a radically different entity. Whereas Idolatriae was haunting and minimal catacomb ambience, Combustioni is otherwise now a daunting, full on apocalyptic industrial, auditory excursion, complete with crushingly ominous brass chords, fearsome horn proclamations, organ, and doom filled atmospherics. Contributions of murderous, gnarled vocals courtesy of Nordvargr and Luca Soi, as well as caustic noise from Italian heavy electronic practitioners Naxal Protocol (ex-Cazzodio) add a powerful element, often cutting through a blaze of swelling tones and pneumatic percussive pummel, the only respite coming in the form of collaborative tracks with Kammarheit and Caul, which sees Eidulon returning to the foggy gloom and bleak isolationism that populated the debut. Collectively, it’s quite the provocative declaration, shattering genre barriers and setting the soundtrack for a world of incinerated cities, global plagues, and nuclear winters. In ultra-luxurious 10 panel, Maltese Cross digipak. "... a much more assertive apocalyptic industrial excursion. Eidulon’s sound has grown both in volume and in confidence: it demands attention and focus and proclaims itself from on high rather than insinuating itself from the background. It’s a vortex of dissonant brass, organ and electronically generated noise, still heavy on atmosphere, but brimming with the confidence of a conquering army" Heathen Harvest. $8.0

Eidulon CD - Idolatriae (Malignant: TumorCD33)
With the release of Eidulons debut CD Idolatriae, we at Malignant are pleased to welcome another new project into the cozy confines of our slowly expanding roster. 7 tracks of ultra bleak, abstract atmospheres, with sounds and textures that seem to seep from catacomb walls and come slithering out of subterranean chambers. Certainly, this can be classified as a dark ambient record, but at its core, its more than just that simple classification. Theres a gritty, more jagged edge here, with tetonic shifts, deep rumblings, and crackling, climatic squalls buried under a bed of ghostly reverb and haunting tonal resonance. Fits in nicely with past Malignant releases such as R|A|A|N's 'The Nacrasti', Heid's 'Arktogaa', and even Caul's 'Crucible' CD. In elegant 6 panel digipak, with stark black and white, carefully arranged illustrations inspired by Taschism and Spatial art.. $5.0

Electric Sewer Age (Coil) - Contemplating Nothingness CD (Old Europa Café: OECD272)
ELECTRIC SEWER AGE was born as an “anonymous / secret and aural experiment” in 2006, but in fact is a collaboration between PETER “SLEAZY” CHRISTOPHERSON (legendary former member of TG / COIL / PTV) and long time friend and collaborator DANNY HYDE (better known for being the Sound-Maestro behind many COIL album). Following the unexpected passing of SLEAZY in 2010 and after the publication of first posthumous ELECTRIC SEWER AGE album, ESA became a solo project by DANNY HYDE. 5 years after the release of second ESA album here comes the awaited third chapter in the ESA saga: Dan was the sound-engineer for a number of COIL albums, e.g. “Love Secret Domain”, and ESA bears his mark as it navigates a similar terrain of multifaceted ambience that's emotive, flowing, and full of elegantly crafted esoteric atmospheres.. $6.0

Equimanthorn - A Fifth Conjuration CD (Zazen Sounds: ZZS011)
In the past decade, Equimanthorn has manifested as a wayward project commanding the participation of other prominent occult-minded musicians. Through experimental and droned ceremonial oblations, Equimanthorn expresses anguish and treacherous lust without ever forgetting the ironic twist that endures in their craft. Equimanthorn is a project that exceeds the limits of a category for their style of occult-ambient music. The elements, in which are used, might be labeled as ritualistic, mysterious, exquisite yet haunting to name a few. This is the ultimate soundtrack dedicated to Sumerian fables, featuring members from Absu, Zemial, Melechesh and The Soil Bleeds Black!. $12.33

EXIMIA - Visitors CD (Cryo Chamber: Cryo092)
EXIMIA presents us with a sound design and field recording heavy album about an alien invasion. You won't find many harmonic elements on this album. It instead serves as a backdrop where Dominik has crafted a soundscape that sucks you into it's atmosphere. "For centuries people have been looking at the stars, wondering if we are alone in this infinite universe, or if there is someone else out there. Would they be friendly and if not, would we be ready for them? They came without warning. Our weapons pointless against these behemoths covered by storm. When I lay my eyes at their divine beauty in all it's power and destruction, I feel no anger nor sorrow, I feel awe. Our new gods have arrived." Highly recommended for fans of field recording and closed eyes listening. $12.99

Exit in Grey - Hysterics of the Eternal CD (Zhelezobeton: ZHB-LXIV)
Radiowaves rustle, layers of ether interference whisper and an electric guitar carefully draws gentle tonal vibrations… The new album by Exit In Grey is indeed largely based on sounds of radio noises, so close to our heart. Although of course this is not a noisy work but rather oneiric, contemplative, shimmering… In two multilayered 20-min long collages we can hear the elements of nature and man-made objects, fragments of random radio interceptions and melancholic guitar parts piercing dark space with its bright emotionality. The material was recorded by Sergey [S] in March 2011 and mastered by Oleg Hurvatov (Interior Disposition) in 2016. The disc is released in cooperation with the Frozen Light label in an edition of 300 numbe. $5.0
