C.3.3. - Ballad of Reading Gaol – The Cacophonietta CD (Cold Spring: CSR255CD)
C.3.3. is a personal project from Paul Jamrozy, co-founder of original industrial agitators TEST DEPT.. The work is inspired by the real life experience of Her Majesty’s Prison Reading. Tracing the history of the location through to the present current political and social situation, evoking the harsh realities of Victorian and modern day Britain. Reminiscent of the finest mid-era TEST DEPT., such as “Gododdin” or “Pax Britannica”, with heavy percussion, strings, and strident vocals. The title C.3.3. is drawn from the cell number where the literary figure Oscar Wilde was incarcerated in Reading Gaol under gross indecency charges. C.3.3. was the pseudonym used for the publication “The Ballad of Reading Gaol”, a poem based on the execution of a fellow inmate. This sonic rendition draws upon the writings of Wilde’s poem and the horrors of prison life for a condemned man, as a metaphor for the universal predicament of all humankind. Remastered with 2 bonus tracks, featuring TEST DEPT. and presented in a 6-panel digipak.. $6.0

Caldon Glover - Labyrintia CD (Cyclic Law: 212thCycle)
We warmly welcome US based soundscape artist Caldon Glover. Thematically "Labyrintia" was imagined as a structure in space older than humanity that runs sideways to our own universe, connecting physical and temporal spaces in our universe and the ur-universe alike that would otherwise be impossible to reach. Sonically it uses a blend of primitive acoustic folk instruments, as well as organic and electronic sound sources to create an ancient and timeless sound that evokes feelings of the rituals of a cthonic cults lost in other realms, as they worked tirelessly to open a door into this endless maze, to find their way home or to further their journey. Artwork by Nihil. Edition of 300 copies in 6 panel Digisleeve, matt lamination. 7 Tracks. Running Time 59:25. $14.33

Two years after "Rings", Corrado Altieri (Monosonik, Uncodified) and Simon Balestrazzi (T.A.C., Dream Weapon Ritual) are back on OEC with a new release that draws its inspiration from the life and work of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the 19th centuty Russian occultist, whose research and publications are still today a reference for many modern esoteric disciplines. "The Key" is a psychic voyage in eight parts, each one referencing dates, places or events which have been pivotal in Mme Blavatsky life and spiritual journey. Candor Chasma once more update the esthetics of post-industrial electronic sound with an obscure suite of psychedelic frequencies streams, hypnotic mantras and abrasive analogue bursts of noise. Carlo Baja Guarienti - Argo 1943 CD (Eibon: Gua095)
Soundtrack composed for a theatrical play of Sartre's "Le mosche" (The flies). Somewhere between ambient, Morricone's most visionary soundscapes and classical music, with some ROSA CRVX-like distorted guitars here and there to unsettle and scramble things up. Does require an open-mided approach and rewards with a very dense hour of meaningful, good music.. $6.0

Caul - The Long Dust (Malignant: TumorCD62)
The Long Dust signifies the first full length Caul recording for Malignant since 1998's "Light From Many Lamps' CD, and while, stylistically, Brett's sound has evolved, there's no question it has also matured, moving further away from the climatic drift of the early works, into more structured, composed realms, adding layers of noir-ish percussion and gentle guitar melodies to the arching tones and cinematic textures that define the Caul sound. This is music that speaks of grey skies and introspection...solemn, yet abounding with serene beauty.. $5.0

Caulbearer - Haunts CDr (Peacock Window Recordings: PW01)
Debut release for this New Mexico/Texas based act brings forth some rather turbulent drones built upon manipulated guitar and field recordings. The sound here varies from ethereal and hypnotic to maxed out, full blown churn and pulsating swell, the tones and textures expanding outwards in a blossom of darkly hued colors and patterns. If you're looking to drift off peacefully, this may lure you in, but then wakes you up with a jarring kick to the ribs as the hive-like noise levels get ratcheted up a notch or two. My reference points are definitely Maeror Tri and Troum, but also IOS's dronier parts, and as the label says, Yellow Swans and Tim Hecker (whom I know in name only, but I'll take their word for it).. $7.0

Cawatana - Comprende CD (Twilight Recordings: TWI.147)
Hungarian apocalyptic folk band Cawatana returns to the roots with a special release. The purpose of the new CD is to collect the songs from (mostly long sold out) compilations, vinyls and split releases that have been written and published in the first 15 years of the band, into one album. All songs have been re-recorded in 2016 (some of them have been slightly reworked), additionally a new (previously unreleased) version of an old song has been recorded for this release. 10 songs in the “classic Cawatana style”: acoustic guitar-based neofolk with martial industrial and neoclassical influences, with the classic lineup of the band including both founding members Kiss Balazs and Sörös Gergö. For all of those who miss the old sound of Cawatana.. $5.0

Cisfinitum - O vs 0 (Old Captain: OCCD07)
The debut album by charismatic Eugeny Voronovsky and his enigmatic project Cisfinitum "O vs 0" is re-released on CD after 15 years of its cryptic lurking in the dark. True minimal post industrial analogue sound. Recorded circa 1998, this is a unique archival work - a lunatic and lo-fi album with a distinct industrial aftertaste. It is kept unremastered and its pristine condition hints at obvious hisses, noises, clicks, abrupt frequency amplifications and sporadic channel drops. Approach the record with caution, play it not too loud to reveal its morbid charm, which is extreme simplicity that hurts. For the lovers of Archon Satani and No Festival of Light. A cross-border of avant-garde jazz (featuring Sergei Letov, saxophone player) and dark ambient (Cisfinitum & First Human Ferro) reveals cryptic alchemical symbols, diagrams, and vocalisms (featuring James Thirlwell (of Foetus fame)) that contain multiple layers of meanings, allegories, and references to be laboriously decoded in order to discover true meaning hidden from its creators. Climax Denial - Dehumanizing Environments CD (Malignant: TumorCD88)
Lurking just at the edge of the shadows for over a decade, Milwaukee's Climax Denial has been honing his brand of psychosexual, obsessive and fetish driven power electronics across a broad spectrum of tape, vinyl and CD releases on labels such as Urashima, Hospital Productions, Nil By Mouth, among others. It seemed only natural that he would eventually find a home on Malignant for his second full length CD recording, though compared to some of the prior releases, this is perhaps one of the most restrained and refined. And yet, even within a more atmospheric realm, Dehumanizing Environments is about as unnerving and depravity filled as anything Climax Denial has recorded; 4 lengthy tracks of nihilistic pulsations and glassy drones that build to Penderecki levels of dread and tension, registering feelings of claustrophobia and desperate voyeurism as exploratory tones and slow, throbbing synth textures come eerily forth. You're fully immersed by the time vocals finally make an appearance late on track 3, and the soft whispers remind you, there's someone behind the wall at all times, watching with prying eyes and waiting with baited breath. A firmly cohesive and intensive release that circumnavigates the normal trappings of sexually themed power electronics genre and represents a unique and frightening vision only Climax Denial can deliver.Limited 500 copies in 6 panel digipak with outstanding illustrations and design by Andre Coelho, mastered by John Stillings of Steel Hook Audio. Run time: 47 minutes. "Dehumanizing Environments is a complex, varied work that emphasizes both disorder and structure, coming together in a nuanced, diverse approach that results in a high water mark for aggressive electronic music". Brainwashed.com "...one of the most fully realized and cohesive releases to see the light of day from the project since its inception a decade ago...highly recommended". 10/10 Heathen Harvest. $5.0

Collapsar - Beyond the Event Horizon (Malignant: TumorCD38)
Malignant presents another rising star within the dark ambient scene, this time in the form of French act Collapsar. With their debut CD, “Beyond The Event Horizon” Collapsar transports the listener on an epic journey deep into the cosmos, forging a path across a vast, inky void, and steering a course around a roiling galactic core of hyper-dense stars and black holes. The sound is epic, expansive, and most of all, HEAVY. There is beauty and tranquility within these realms, but there is no light – just massive, pulsating textures coalescing into shimmering drones, rippling sound waves, and billowing, multi-dimensional layers of powerful dark energy. “Beyond the Event Horizon” is without question, dark ambient in its purest form and one of the more genre defining releases of the last several years. A must for fans of Inade, Lustmord and the like. In 6 panel digipak, with design by ::: Eye.Lyft :::. $5.0

Common Eider, King Eider - A Wound of Body CD (Cyclic Law: 121stCycle)
A Wound Of Body is the first chapter in Common Eider, King Eider’s Wound “duology”, forming the group’s most focused and fully realised work to date. Offering a sprawling, audial exploration of wounds at once physical and spiritual, social and societal, natural and environmental. “A Wound Of Body” is a beautifully stark soundscape, dolorously dense, suffocatingly oppressive and utterly claustrophobic. An immersive black hole of bleak, cavernous drone music and disquieting, desolate ambience, each track a hushed and harrowing ritual; the surface minimalism underpinned by a churning morass of sound, a layered liturgy of blackened invocations and nebulous strings hovering in the shadows. Presented in a beautiful black and silver duotone sleeve, adorned with images of micro-landscapes rendered in bone, stark images of the alien, otherworldly topography that lurks beneath the skin, emblematic of the inevitable decay and disintegration of our physical forms: the ruin we become, and the ruin we leave behind. Concrete Mascara - Perennial Disappointment CD (SOLD OUT) (Malignant: TumorCD93)
Since 2011, Concrete Mascara have been sharpening their skills across various formats and releases, pushing the envelope of intensity and extremity as they quickly ascended the ranks of American power electronic acts. Perennial Disappointment marks their Malignant debut and their second full length disc following 2014’s Blossoms of Shame on France’s Corrosive Arts Records. The sheer violence of this recording is astounding, and it stands as one of the most unnerving and visceral releases ever under the Malignant banner. From the dystopic atmosphere of opener “Flesh of This World” and post mortem ambience of “Mouth of Flies, Tongue of Maggots”, to the traumatizing and unmitigated physicality of “Utopian Nightmare”, “Defined by Absence” or “Delusion of Sacrifice” Perennial Disappointment is rife with urgency and tension, where caustic, distortion filled frequencies meet slashing, blown out noise, hyper-rhythmic pulsations, and venomous, dueling vocals. Collectively, it’s a perfectly engineered and concise declaration of arrival that should be a revelation for those that consider the genre to be one dimensional and stagnant. In jewel box with 6 panel booklet, designed by Si Clark. Lmtd 500.. $5.0

On the fourth album of his indo-tibetan series Contemplatron uncovers from their ashes the world of the charnel grounds, cemeteries and demonic or saint beings who lived there. The Tibetan word mamo is a non-literal translation of the Sanskrit word ‘matri’. In India matris, literally ‘mothers’, are femaleindigenous spirit-deities of the natural world. They are benevolent or malevolent - thus they can be potentially dangerous tohumans and other beings. The matris are intimately associated with fertility and sickness, life and death. The main medium ofcommunication, invocation, appeasement or protection against them is the mantra. Over one hour of tribal dark ambient served in luxurious digipack with embossed print.. Contemplatron & Shentz - His Master's Voice CD (Wrotycz: WRT025)
"His Master's Voice" (original Polish title: "Glos Pana") is a science fiction novel by Stanislaw Lem, first published in 1968. It is a densely philosophical first-contact story about scientific efforts to decode, translate, and understand an extraterrestrial transmission. The novel can also be read as a critique of human intelligence and intentionality in the context of deciphering a message from outer space which forever eludes comprehension. Chaos is the primordial source that cosmically resounds in the microwave background radiation across the universe. To find sequences in this cacophonous confusion, to discover its principles and understand them, only to die holding on to a scrap of something much larger - this is what Lem's book as well as its apocryphical soundtrack are about. The abstract sound layers were created by two Polish artists from Contemplatron (dark ritual ambient) and Shentz (noise), and mastered by Peter Andersson (Raison d'être). 6-panel digipak.. $5.0

Coph Nia - Qliphothic Phantasmagoria CDEP (Wrotycz: WRT008)
It's hardly news to any connoisseur of Industrial music that Coph Nia like to cover songs. So far they have quite a cover track record. They've transformed The Leather Nun's punk anthem ÂPrime Mover into a brooding, industrial soundscape, and made songs by artists as diverse as Front 242, Bauhaus, Arthur Brown and The Rolling Stones their own.One danger of covering songs is that you might end up as a covers band. This is especially dangerous if you cover songs by, say, The Rolling Stones, as you might just end up on the rock cover band circuit  playing 'Sweet Home Alabama' in dodgy rock pubs and biker meets in places God has been drinking to forget ever since he created them.On the other end of the scale, but equally degrading, is to end up as wedding singers. Remember that really unfunny Adam Sandler movie? If you think that Coph Nia has too much class to end up en either category, well, letÂs say you have too much faith in the band. Coph Nia are already a bit too familiar with playing gigs in dodgy pubs, and theyÂve even played at a wedding (well, it was a stag party, but it was definitely wedding-related).So in a desperate attempt to not end up having to provide the soundtrack to bikers picking up underage chicks or obscure uncles doing moves from Saturday Night Fever, Coph Nia have decided to take the demon by the horns, and tried to exorcise the Cover Demon before it consumes them. The result is this release. This collection of Coph Nia-fied covers including Ozzy OsbourneÂs ÂMr CrowleyÂ, the song Mr. AldenonÂs band was born to cover, ÂBlack Sabbath by the band of the same name, ÂSick Things by Alice Cooper and ÂLevitation by psychedelic space rockers Hawkwind.Hopefully, the exorcism will work. If not, you know where to look for Coph Nia in a few years. PS: If you need a band for your wedding, Coph Nia can be reached through their website.. $6.66

Costin Chioreanu is a well-known and highly respected graphic artist who has done work for At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, Arcturus, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Ulver and many others. A musician himself, he has collaborated with various artists to create “soundtracks” to accompany his exhibitions in the past. Council of Nine - Davidian CD (Cryo Chamber: Cryo129)
Davidian is Council of Nine's second album focusing on the dark side of mass followings and cults, the first being Exit Earth. "On the outskirts of texas a worn down man sick to death of the lies and deceit of this world stumbled into a ground breaking discovery. This man who was suddenly gifted with an ancient knowledge and armed with a direct link to god, convinced his followers to lead a simple path, a path of goodness, a path of true faith regardless of the judgement of man, because they knew that no man could judge a single one of them, the only judgement would come long after we shed our mortal coil. As long as his followers remained true and faithful to the information being given to them. This information was indeed coming from god and this god was not a kind one, he told us that those who wish to destroy evrything we have built would soon come for us, that they would take us all in a battle of heaven and hell. Riding in on their chariots armed with the lies and hatred of man, our father told us to take the sword And 1000 swords we took". $7.0

Cronaca Nera - Carne E Carnefice CD (Old Europa Café: OECD226)
Cronaca Nera (“Black Chronicle” in English) is a three-headed Italian Industrial Power-Electronics Monster featuring Adriano Vincenti (Macelleria Mobile di Mezzanotte) , Giovanni Mori (Le Cose Bianche), and Andrea Chiaravalli (Iugula-Thor).Initially born as a side project of Macelleria Mobile di Mezzanotte in 2000, the project put out several releases until 2001, then fell silent for 15 years until it's rebirth after a meeting by Adriano Vincenti and Giovanni Mori (Le Cose Bianche). An homage to the electronics sounds of the 90s, especially the Italian one, the project immediately focused on a criminal imaginary made of extreme sex, crime, provincial squalor, erotic and pornographic obsessions. Exclusive use of analog machines of that era plus, an obsessive attention for the faithful reproduction of those '90s sounds. In 2015, Andrea Chiaravalli / Iugula-Thor became officially a Cronaca Nera member, and the recording sessions for Carne e Carnefice (“Meat and Executioner” in English) began. Cronaca Cera consider themselves as the heirs of Atrax Morgue, Mauthausen Orchestra, Murder Corporation, Iugula-Thor, The Sodality, Project Death, Dead Body love, Sado Vision, Sshe Retina Stimulants. 8 tracks, all of them devoted to a different and particular extreme sexual practice. No compromise, no experiments, only the rumors of humiliated flesh in the embrace of pleasure and pain. Squirtorgasm attitude since 2001.. $6.0
